Saklıkent - Tlos - Yakapark Tour
Both History & Fun... If you’re looking for a history trip intertwined with nature, Turkey offers many alternatives. Especially in the Fethiye and Antalya area, you can join various tour organizations with similar features. On the Kemer road, a perfect tour plan can be made, where the journey starts at Tlos and continues to the Yakapark waterfall, where you can enjoy a cold shower in the spring waters. The final stop is the unforgettable Saklıkent canyon, where you can walk for about two kilometers.
First Stop: Tlos Ancient City
Located in Yaka Village of Seydikemer, this ancient city is listed in the Unesco World Heritage Tentative list. The area is known as Lycia and is considered a very old settlement. The site has steep slopes that rise up to 500 meters. The Acropolis is surrounded by natural protective walls. As you climb to the castle, you will see many temple tombs carved into the rocks on the slopes. A notable landmark is the monument tomb where Pegasus battles the three-headed monster Chrimera. The decorations on the tomb entrance make the structure even more intriguing. Within the city, you can visit the seats, baths, stadium, church ruins, and theater. There is also a six-arched gate inside the city. The gate is still standing, and to the south, you can also see Roman-era city walls. Tlos, which has gone through the Ottoman, Byzantine, and Roman periods, is a historical treasure with its Lycia rock tombs.
Second Stop: Spring Waterfalls
If you feel tired from the heat, the second stop will refresh you. The Yakapark tour is a perfect resting place where you can experience unforgettable moments with the sound of birds and water blending together. Located just 2 kilometers from Yaka village, this place is perfect for escaping the heat of summer and enjoying the cool and clean spring water. You can have a village breakfast in the restaurants and enjoy the delightful fish menus in the trout restaurants. Listening to the sound of water at the oriental corner tables can be a calming ceremony. With the Yakapark tour, you can fully relax and recharge your energy for the next stops.
Third Stop: A Hidden Paradise
In the Saklıkent canyon, where the sun’s rays rarely reach, you can do something truly unique. Located 21 kilometers from the turnoff in the Kemer district, this site is 8 km away from the ancient city. Before entering the canyon, you’ll find several roadside cafes. You can reach the canyon by passing through Kayadibi village, and vehicles are left outside. This canyon in the Seydikemer district is truly a natural wonder. The canyon is approximately 18 km long, with heights ranging from 200 to 600 meters.
In some areas, the rock gaps narrow down to just two meters. In these areas, it’s nearly impossible to see the sky. As you enter the canyon, you’ll be greeted by the sound of the rushing Eşen Stream. Walking along the wooden stairs laid on a metal platform, you will reach the water source. You can enjoy delicious gözleme while cooling your feet in the cold water. Trout menus are also available. You can discover many hidden paradise-like spots in the canyon, and for an extra thrill, you can join rafting tours. This area will provide unique and unforgettable moments for visitors. You can walk for two kilometers in the canyon.
You can spend a fun and diverse day by visiting three distinct stops. Start with history, then swim, relax, and finish with nature.

I visited Tlos and Saklikent with Seaside Tours and enjoyed an exciting and informative tour. The sights are very impressive, and guide Aysi lit up the journey with her boundless energy. She was great! The tour pace was relaxed and we had plenty of time for activities at Saklikent. Highly recommend Seaside Tours to anyone in Fethiye or Oludeniz!

Saklikent trip. We booked the trip through the Oludienez office. They collected us from the hotel in a minibus, there was 12 of us in the trip 6 Turkish and 6 English and through out the whole trip the guide called Icesee (I don't know how to spell it) made us feel special. Icesee told us she grew up in the area and used to play in the tombs as a child, she knew everything about the area even walking up to show us the original sliding doors of one of the tombs (you wouldn't have noticed this otherwise). I have to say this trip would have been a great trip with any guide but it was made spectacular by our guide Icesee. Thankyou for a fantastic day.

We joined the Sakkent tour by bus to avoid getting wet and hot. We were very pleased because we realized when we joined earlier that it was a very short and fun tour with jeep safari. In the tour by bus, we stopped for a long time at the places we stayed and the guide gives professional information and tours with you. The place we ate is Yakapark Restaurant. Everything was great. Thank you seaside
